Exporting the phonebook

As well as supporting the LogoManager Backup file format, LogoManager can also export phonebooks so that they can be read in by other applications.

The .CSV (comma separated variables) file format is a text format that can be read in by common editors and applications such as Excel.  Each phonebook entry is represented by a line in the file, and each line contains a list of data items, each separated by a comma.

LogoManager exports the following information:

Column 1: Entry name
Columns 2 to 14: Phone numbers or text items
Column 15: Phonebook type (2=Phone, 3=SIM)
Column 16: Group ID (1 to 5)
Column 17: Entry location

In most cases, only columns 1,2,15,17 and possibly 16 will contain data, as most phones (and all SIMs) only support one name and one number per entry.

For the 6210 and 7110, text and numeric items in the advanced phonebook can be represented by a data field containing data of the format ITEMTYPE:item data

Note that the number of these items per entry that the phone will accept depends on the design of the handset.

For example: FAX:+441223123456 represents a phone number of type 'fax'

The supported object types are:

Phone number types: HOME (Home), MOB (Mobile), FAX (Fax), OFF (Office)

Text item types: EML (Email address), ADDR (Postal address), NOTE (Text note)

If you have a .CSV file in the required format, and wish to restore to the phone using LogoManager, it is necessary to first convert it to .LMB format using the LogoManager File Conversion Tool, available for download on the web site.
